In Short
Walk in and imagine you're on safari. Drum music plays against a backdrop of pastel walls distressed to look like clay. Tropical flowers are everywhere and a large tree hides one of the support columns. The floor is a long boardwalk that runs throughout the store, past the hodgepodge of disparate items--masks hanging on a wall, jewelry, handmade items--tied together only by their common provenance, Africa. An ebony family tree for $1,100 stands next to a wooden zebra for $12. The dressing room is decorated like a small hut.
