Great for an evening or Sunday afternoon..
Scotty's is a real hidden treasure situated between the Chart House and Miami City Hall (The old Pan Am Building) right on the water.
The grilled Dolphin sandwich is really good and comes with fries for under $10. The burgers, conch fritters and anything else I've tried are alsao great! The cole slaw is a la carte, but it's worth the couple of bucks.
The atmosphere is classic rustic Florida on the Bay. Weekends usually have a one man band that sounds like a trio. Oh--and they're pet friendly! What more can you ask for?
Once you find it, it's a keeper..
It's just a silly little burger and sandwich joint tucked in the middle of a boat storage yard with the noise and smell of revving outboards and the beeping of the forklift pulling boats from the racks, but this place is the place to not miss in Miami.
I went there growing up often in the '90s and returned not long ago and it had not changed, still the same great place. Great for people watching, dining outside, just enjoying what Miami should be.
Forget all the fancy schmancy other places, truly nothing beats this place.
Great Atmosphere, Less than Mediocre Food. This restaurant is right on the water; the view is great. Its a great place to meet up with a few friends, relax, and have a few drinks. I have gone there twice and tried to have a meal--the Crabcake sandwich was one of the worst things I have ever eaten in my life. I think next time, I will just stick to a couple of appetizers and drinks.
Go for the view, not the food. Once you find Scotty's and finally get the waitstaff's attention...you will be blown away by the view. It's a fun place to hang out with friends and drink beer. I've ordered various things from the food menu and have ALWAYS been disappointed. Go with the basics, that's all I can say.
This hard-to-find seafood restaurant is one of the best places in town to get a feel for old Miami..
In Short
Scotty's is hard to find for the uninitiated and that's exactly how locals like it. When you do find it grab a table as close to the water as you can, sit back, and relax. You'll need to because service is notoriously slow, although usually well-meaning. A simple menu emphasizes fresh fish and other seafood specialities, with a few items such as baby-back ribs and burgers thrown in for landlubbers.
A MUST IN MIAMI!!!.
If you are visiting Miami, then you MUST come here. Lunch at Scotty's Landing will show you more about Miami than anything else you can visit.
If you are a resident of Miami and don't come here regularly, you are definitely missing out.
Just getting to the restaurant sets the mood, tucked right on the water within arm's reach of the marina and boats, the view is splendid, the food is affordable and tastes like it should. I don't think I would describe it as a Seafood restaurant though!
Great Location Leave Your Watch At Home.
Food is OK. Beer by the Bucket is Good. View and Location is GREAT! The only thing is Service. Always friendly but slow and inexperienced. If you don't mind waiting a few extra minutes for OK service you'll do just fine here. Live music weekends at night. Usually a lone guitar player with the old 70's favorites.. Pretty good (could turn the amp down just a bit!)
All in all... A nice shorts and flip flops place tro hang!
