Amazing fish sandwich.
This bar is a gem - don't tell the tourists, keep it for the locals!
Its kind of hidden on a side street right in the middle of the grove, 2 minutes from coco walk. It has a great, laid-back atmosphere - like the low key, relaxed vibe I expected when I came to Miami. Its a bar, and doesn't pretend to be anything more than that.
What will suprise you is the food. Bars don't usually have great food - its meant to be eaten after a few - or a lot - of drinks, when you won't really notice the taste. I stopped in here one day to meet a friend for lunch - wow! What a well kept secret. We went for fish sandwiches - everything else on the menu sounds good, but I've never tried anything else - the fish is too good!
Its fresh - like, caught last night fresh. You can get it how you like it, blackened, grilled, or . . . well, some other way. I like it blackened. Ask for it on garlic bread. The sandwich is huge, very tasty, and satisfying. Maybe the best value in town. Their snapper is also great on a salad.
Awesome mahi sandwich on garlic bread. MMMMM so good - great atmosphere and staff, amazing food for an unbeatable price. Recemmonded to locals or visitors.
