Great Seafood, Slow Service Sometimes.... We stop by this restaurant for seafood probably once a month. Our favorite appetizers are the crab cakes, fried calamari and baked salmon salad. It's not as bad as the reviews say, but I would have to say the service is a little slow at times.

The food came out in 'pieces', b/c it appeared that the bartender was serving the food as well as drinks (we were in the lounge dining) we order 2 sunday brunch only one came and the other the waiter said sorry you did not order we tell him yes but he said sorry I order know well it was to late the wait for just water and bred 20 minutes that is to long and the wors is the attitud of the waiter and the hole team they are not happy working for this veautifule place poor managment t wasn't bad enough, because we were left waiting so long, I didn't order what I wanted i order expreso, and it took 20 minutes to get the dessert anyway. We were there for like 2 1/2 hours, and that didn't include any 'drinking' or 'appetizer' time, just WAITING! I will never go back there again! I'd rather eat at Scotty's Landing, you can't really screw up fried food, and you don't drop a fortune. And at the end the waiter said why we did not tip him he ask again so we told him we whant to talkj to the manager and he said no that is ok. THE SERVICE IS SO BAD I WILL NEVER RECOMENT IT TO NO ONE.
I love it. I went for a party the food was great.. I aye prime rib and was cooked to perfection and very tasty.. The service was outstanding and I will eat there anyday..

As if all that wasn't bad enough, because we were left waiting so long, I didn't order what I wanted (lava cake - takes 20 minutes), I ordered the apple crumb dessert and it came back cold and the apples hard, and it took 20 minutes to get the dessert anyway. We were there for like 2 1/2 hours, and that didn't include any 'drinking' or 'appetizer' time, just WAITING! I will never go back there again! Chart House Restaurant. My husband made reservations for our anniversary, as we were married at the Chart House several years ago. I checked reviews on this website the day before our reservation. I found several bad reviews, but we still decided to go. We were so glad that we did. We arrived early and were seated right away. Our server immediately came over to take our drink order. She came back with drinks right away & took our appetizer and main course order. Our appetizers did not take long and our main course was served immediately after we finished the appetizers. The food was spectacular and the service was excellent. We will recommend the restaurant to our friends and family and will definitely be going back.
Disappointing. I thought this would be good swafood. Wrong. A big disappointment. Seem like nothing was fresh. Only the salad was ok. My fish was dry. Potato was not hot. Server was not paying attention even that the restaurant was not busy. Too bad because I love fish, just not here.
Has lost it's touch. Avoid at all cost. I went to the chart house last evening with my girlfriend and I can promise you we will not be returning. The restaurant was empty so our reservation definitely was not needed. After we were seated it was a good 10 minutes before a server asked if we had been helped. My girlfriend had the crab stuffed shrimp and I had the ahi tuna. My fish was not properly cooked, my asparagus was cooked to the point that it was mush and stingy, and then my green beans were hardly cooked at all and hard as rocks! The whole evening felt like we were waiting on our server. Extremely slow, empty glasses, the whole 9 yards. As someone who put himself through college and grad school working in restaurants this establishment has forgotten all the basics. The highlights of the evening were the delicious dessert and the valet was very fast. What used to be a hot spot is now coasting on a reputation and letting whats important fall through the cracks. On a night where the whole restaurant has maybe 7 full tables, the management should be doing table side visits and ensuring the everything is running as it should. When I was looking for a good seafood place to eat when I visited Miami, I came across this restaurant and read the reviews. I noticed that a lot of them are VERY old and not all that great. My family owns restaurants SO I know a restaurant goes through a lot of changes and a good chef makes a world of a difference. I wanted to make sure I wrote a review because our experience was superb! Before we made reservations, I visited the website and from what I saw it looked nice and the menu items were enticing. The only this I was scared of was the reviews but we decided to make reservations and try it out anyway. When we walked in, the atmosphere with the lighting and modern paintings instantly put a smile on our faces. The service was professional and the server gave suggestions and helped with our wine choice. My husband and I ordered the Lobster Bisque and Crab Crusted Scallops to start. Both items were very tasty. The Bisque was full of lumps of true lobster and not overly rich. Then for the main course I had the seafood mixed grille. It had grilled salmon, a skewer of grilled shrimp and a TRUE lump crab cake to DIE for and was served with coconut rice and fresh string beans. I am from NJ and finding a TRUE MARYLAND style crab cake almost doesn't exist in Florida. This crab cake was PERFECT and I will be going back just so I can have another. My husband had the Parmesan crusted Chilean Sea bass over angel hair pasta. The fish was cooked perfect and the flavors of the fresh basil and fresh tomatoes in the pasta with the fish made you want to finish every last bite even when you were at your limit. We had the lava cake for dessert. I'm not a chocolate fan but my husband mentioned my birthday to the server and I guess he thought EVERYONE likes chocolate. So, it was good if you like chocolate. I would have prefered to try the key lime pie...well, there WILL be a next time.

I have been to this restaurant only three times. Each time I have had a problem with service and or food. I will not be back.
On Wednesday, October 22, 2008, my husband took me to this restaurant for lobster dinner. The gentleman behind the hostess stand never even acknowledged us. A woman finally came over and asked if she could help us. When my husband replied that there were two of us for dinner, she asked if we had a reservation. We did not. After she conferred with the gentleman behind the counter and the reservation book, she coldly escorted us to our table. There were very few patrons in the restaurant and the attitude was unjust. After we were seated and placed our order, our waiter Fernando informed us that the restaurant had not received any lobster that day and they were out. Since we had specifically came for lobster, I reluctantly ordered the crab stuffed shrimp as and an appetizer of calamari. My husband ordered the Chicken Marsala. The bread that we were served was stale. When we notified a wait staff that came by, nothing was done. No fresh bread was delivered to our table. The calamari came as our appetizer and was obviously re-heated. It wasn?t crispy nor heated all the way through. Our dinner finally came and my shrimp was over cooked and chewy. My husband?s chicken was mediocre at best and he left half of it. As we left the restaurant, we passed a woman eating LOBSTER!! When we brought this to the attention of the wait staff, we were informed that the lobster had been held for a large party and that was why we were told they had none. This did not impress me as we were seated and ordered before the group of people seamed to arrive. I have never in my life experienced such unprofessional courtesy. We have never had a problem with service nor menu choice when we dine at Azul, Baleen, The Forge or any other upstanding restaurant.
I would not be surprised to hear that the establishment closes.
