Editorial Review for The Capital Grille – by Elliott Neal Hester
In Short
Dim, masculine, wood-paneled rooms are decorated with hunting trophies mounted on the walls. The dinner crowd is elegantly casual, but during power lunches, you're likely to be surrounded by fat cats in business suits. Beef is the star attraction at this designer steakhouse chain, and is considered so precious it's stored in a large meat locker (for dry-aging) in the center of the dining room.

If you eat out in Miami, please choose another restaurant. When you are paying 40$ plus for a steak, the service better be good to go along with it! I had a fruit fly in my drink and was basically told it wasn't! My husband agreed that it was a fruit fly. I am not kidding...one of the managers actually got his readers(glasses) on to inspect the drink! What kind of customer service is that. I thought the customer was always right...especially for that price! They didn't even take the drink off of our bill! Besides that, the server was unfriendly and SLOW! Also, it wasn't even a weekend night and wasn't very busy. If you are ever in Kansas City, try that Capital Grille. It is OUTSTANDING every time!
Pros: NONE
Cons: EVERYTHING

Nothing special could have eaten at Houstons and paid a lot less. Waiter was nice, he helped us select the most expensive bottle of wine. No dress code, some customers walked in with shorts, tank tops and baseball caps... not the best dinning experience.
