Great atmosphere.. I recommend this restaurant. ,my wife and I have been going here for years and know that family has grown even our little ones enjoy it. Blackened Dolphin sandwich is my favorite.
Fantastic Yellowtail. My husband and I ate at Garcia's two nights ago. I had the grilled yellowtail fillet with sweet plantains. It was my first time having yellowtail and it was simply delicious! Fresh and tasty!
Worst Service EVER!.
Worst seafood restaurant I have ever been to. The service was slow the food had
no flavor. It was the worst service ever. I would have been better off going to
Red Lobster. For everyone who has written a review about this and thinks the
food is good then you must be crazy. I ordered a lobster that they claim was 2
pounds and when I got it, it dident even look like it had a pound to it. My
mother also ordered the same thing and hers was small. My father ordered a
dolphin sandwich which was not very good as he says and my grand mother ordered
the jumbo shrimp. The shrimps looked no bigger than a quarter and it was only 5
of them. The yellow rice had no flavor and it was cold. So were the potatoes.
Our bill came out to 130 plus. It was NOT worth it. The waiter was also not
attending to us or anything. I would not recommend to anyone.
Garcia's.
The food is absolutely delicious and the prices are fair enough. The place is very simple, and I guess the only thing they have to improve is the service.
If you are looking for a good place to eat, and you are not looking for fancy, this is it!!!!!
Best Seafood. My favorite seafood place! The food is absolutely fresh and delicious. It's true that spanish is the first language there but, as an English only speaker, I have no trouble getting my order in and getting good service. And the staff is very nice. Order the shrimp and I guarantee you've never had shrimp so fresh.
Mediocre at best and not Anglo friendly. First, the restaurant is in a rather bad part of town on the river and I would not recommend going there at night. We went during the day and it was ok. Second, my family is latin, but everyone is very tall and very blonde and we were treated pretty badly until we switched to spanish, then it was ok. If you ask any questions to the waiters in english prepare to be ignored. I only got attention when I spoke spanish. I was hoping for great food as we were told it was very good here. It is pretty average, some of the shellfish is ok but overcooked. Everything else we had was terrible, especially the soups and salads. It was not that busy either so no excuse on the bad food. It is cheap, but so is the food.
Excellent food and service!. Not fancy, but the best fish in Miami. Go on off hours when its not too busy! Also the takeout section for claws is great for a party.
Best Seafood Restaurant ever!. My husband ,my nine year old son and I love Garcia's Seafood... the staff is very friendly, the service is great, the food, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is out of this world! highly recommend it...never had a problem, as far as racial problems there,we have never seen or experienced anything bad like that....I am Colombian-American, my hubby, Argentinean-American and our son is American...
best seafood in miami. I have been going to this place for years. Best seafood in Miami bar none...As to the guy bellow that says this place has a racial problem, my guess is he is the one that has the problem..there as many Anglos at Garcia's as Hispanics and no place would survive this long if they had a problem with Anglos...there is also a big customer base of local Blacks...so for those thinking of trying it out, do yourself a favor and try it out...I am on my way over there now and was just looking up the address to text to 2 friends that haven't been there before...
