Camco: Fake cable, illogical billing, crazy nuts

So in my building you can have camco (puke) or you can have direct tv installed and setup by camco. To make a long story short, ended up with camco (puke). Hadn't even been 30 days of service yet and they sent a bill for a whole month, they say thats fcc regulations (which is false).

*****Secondly, this is fake cable, their service is not cable. Direct TV operates off of a large satellite on top of the building which one would figure is soley for the direct tv service, not the case. Cable in any other part of the country operates off of cable lines and you get your selection of channels with a guide. While subscribing to their "cable" "service," everytime they work on the channels or it rains heavily, it says "searching for satellite signal" and the channel headings and error notes all say direct tv. How is it you call your service a cable service if you're just selecting some direct tv channels and filtering them through the cable lines to the tvs and charging money for it???????? I don't think that's what comcast, atlantic broadband, or time warner for example do. I don't think the basis and source of those large cable companies source is direct tv. What kind of crap is that is that even legal?!?!

One thing I have learned about the 5 star ghetto intracoastal yacht club is that the same owner of the complex is also the same owner of the "cable" company. And I believe is also affiliated with the water and sewage utilities, which run outrageously! Shady, shady business, if I weren't planning on moving out of miami and didn't have other things I was working on I would definitley look into the legal ramifications of this whole situation, first and foremost trying to tell residents what sort of tv service they can and cannot have, what is that, that has to be illegal in some regard, someone please take these freaks down!!!!!!!! Camco sucks, camco has to have a wealth of illegal activity going on, down with camco!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DONT GO FOR CAMCO!!!!!

if you want good cable service for cheap DONT GET CAMCO! this is ridiculous that i only have one damn choice in cable........either you get crappy camco or you get NADA~! i hate the fact that i cannot choose my own cable company!!!! this is a free country damnit! not only is there only one choice but its expensive......to get what they call BASIC cable which is all of 5 channels its 10 bucks....basically you get channel 2 which nobody watches and some other gay channels that no one ele watches either......to get their BASIC EXTENDED is almost 80 bucks a month!!!!!!!!!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!!! dont go for camco and make sure if you move to an apartment complex in the greater miami dade area their cable provider IS NOT CAMCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok. I've only been living in my apartment building for a couple of months so I can't really say anything bad about the internet or cable...yet. At first I did experience problems with the set-up, but that's it. I do find it unfair that management only gives you this company as an option and there's probably something behind that. The best way to let others know though is to the Better Business Bureau. On their website I couldn't find ONE single bad review about the company and where they give it a rating of A - (yes! shocking!) So they definetly need to know what's going on. Hope it works cause it's affecting a LOT of people. Good luck!
