Editorial Review for Knaus Berry Farm – by Jackie Potts

In Short
Even the most cynical folks melt after one visit to this homegrown fruit stand. For some people, it's the sticky cinnamon buns, but most folks can't get enough of the fresh and creamy strawberry and mango shakes. There's also a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, cheesecakes, shakes and that South Florida staple, the Key lime pie. Drive south until you've left the last Amoco behind--that's when you'll see Knaus.

Knaus Berry Farm is considered a quaint scenic tourist stop, because of the German Baptist Knaus family who still owns and operates it. But it’s really worth a visit on its own merits as a bakery. The cinnamon rolls are famous, but the breads and rolls are truly not to be missed! For updated information on hours of operation, and even what’s being baked fresh each day, check out this blog from one of the bakers: w w w (dot) tiffanyblitz (dot com) /knausberryfarmmenu (the system doesn't like links!).

Pros: Atmosphere, fresh baked goods, fresh produce, fresh fruit milkshakes

Cons: Long lines on Saturday (but worth it!)
