I needed 3 things: a new window motor, new battery and brakes for my Mitsubishi 3000gt SL so I could ship my car from FL. to MD. I figured $500-$800 for all. The brake pedal went to the floor so I'd let Mike tell me what I needed in brakes. Mike called, alarmed, to tell me my car needed much more to be Driven Safely!!! It would cost $1600 but happily I didn’t need brakes or a battery, my son had used the wrong DOT fluid and he'd flush it. After the work was done & paid for I asked specifically about the brakes. He said, "they're fine and all it needs is some good driving!" The scariest ride I've had is from Balt. to Silver Spring because when I picked up the car it had no brakes and no brake fluid. The pedal went to the floor and I had to refill the fluid, pump the pedal and keep my hand on the emergency brake and drive reeeal slowly. The mechanics that work on my Volvo told me the car needs a new brake PUMP. Why did they know this and you don't Mike?? And the oil leak that ruined the timing belt? You didn't notice oil everywhere? You didn't notice the brake fluid leaking out? After 10 days? You didn't notice it had no brakes? What did you notice Mike? that you had a pigeon & needed $1600 to make your rent? The window motor works - but the window isn't seated properly and rain leaks in. Never got my battery either. Got spark plugs & a cooling fan. And he wanted a CERTIFIED check from me! Which now makes sense because people that are dishonest think of others in those terms. I sent a regular check, which cleared immediately. My advice: Keep your receipts and have the work checked by someone else as I did, in writing. His day in court is coming....and one of my dear friends is a criminal defense lawyer in Florida. Have a drink on me with that $1600 Mike. In fact, have a party.

The guy employs a bunch of drunks and criminals. They took me for more than $5000 and I'm not sure they did anything. Car did not run right and I had to sell it. These people are crooks. The owner acts like he's high all the time. I wish I could go after them legally. Save yourself aggravation and money. Find another place to get your car fixed.
