Coral Gables watering hole has been serving up brews and playful revelry to locals since 1946.. In Short
With 48 bottled beers available and another 10 drafts on tap, this is where Coral Gables professionals come to relax by day and everyone else comes to down brews by night. The long bar is the centerpiece, encircled by stools with plenty of tables and booths within earshot. Patrons shuffle over checkerboard floor tiles and pass framed throwback artwork, but no one is here to appoint style points. They have 48 bottles to choose from and only so many hours in the day.

Fish 'n Chips!. I can't give it a 5 star because I havnt tried enough of the menu.....but the Fish and Chips are to die for!! Really really good, and I'm pretty picky when it comes to that particular plate. So if you're not sure what to try-- go for the Fish!!

A successful neighborhood bar without the dive-y element.. In Short
This Gables hideaway has the same intimate, local feel that makes the Abbey special. Board games and dominos pop up regularly, as do old familiar faces that you probably haven't seen since high school. The owners have figured out the formula for having a successful neighborhood bar without the dive-y element. Good beer, great wings and fries, mood lighting and comfy booths make it the perfect place for a date or a big birthday party.

Classy Dive Bar. This is the nicest classic dive bar I have been in. You know, it really wouldn't be a dive bar except it is 50+ years old.

Excellent beer selection, the best I've seen in South Florida, Lots of the trapists.

Good, but gotta be in the mood. Good music on Saturdays. Believe it or not, they have different board games to choose from like dominoes, connect four, trivial pursuit, etc. The band could get kind of loud sometimes. Great hang-out. Kind of a Cheers atmosphere when there is no music.
