Sushi Samba Dromo

Celebrate the Cuisine & Culture of Japan, Brazil & Peru

  • Sunday Brunch
  • Outdoor Dining

Only at Sushi Samba will you find a unique blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine, music and design. Sushi Samba is born of the energy and spirit of these three distinct cultures; a tri-cultural coalition that took root in the early 20th Century.

Editorial Review for Sushi Samba Dromo – by Bill Citara

In Short
Within weeks of opening, SoBe's ubiquitous contingent of celebs had already samba-ed in, perhaps drawn to a restaurant as flashy as they are. Its focal point is a dramatic, black-tile sushi bar set under lights that resemble upended mushrooms and surrounded by an elevated dining area. Highly evolved simplicity keeps Samba's blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisines from becoming an unappetizing mishmash.

Insider Tips

What To Drink

In addition to dozens of wines and more than 25 sakes, fruity mixed drinks complement the sophisticated cuisine. One of the best is the strawberry sensation called the Nina Fresa, made of vodka, strawberry puree, and guava and lime juices.

Although the ambiance is fun and interesting, it is definately not worth the price. The service is slow and the servers do not take the time to explain the food or refill drinks. The portions are really small and it takes about an hour between courses to get your food. The food was good but nothing special. You are mostly paying for eating in South Beach.
