THE WORST.......... EVER! My advice to anyone thinking of going to Woodys BAR BQ in Kendal, .......... is DON'T! Save your money, and go to SONNY'S! in only ONE WORD? WOODY'S in Kendal, THE WORST EVER!!! RUDE, OVER BEARING, IMPATIENT, NOT HELPFUL, PUSHY!........ DID I SAY RUDE?? The Girl from the BRONX NY seemed nice but the other witch that waited on us............ FOR GET ABOUIT IT! Food is AVERAGE at best! I see a lot of bad reviews! I did not believe! I had to see for myself! What a mistake! NEVER AGAIN! RIBS ARE COLD, DRY, and do NOT fall off the bone! food seems watered down! Pulled pork is WET! Macaroni and cheese is NOT creamy, baked beans are thin sauced! beef was dry! PLEASE do NOT GO HERE! PUKE! Worst experience I have ever had! The only reason i gave this place ONE STAR.......... is because NO STARS was not an option! on a scale from 1 to 10??????? a - 10! thats a NEGATIVE 10!................ the spanish speaking, woman manger there, made the situation far worse, when she copped an attitude when i complained about the bad food and service there!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY! GO TO SONNY'S!!!!

Owner Sonny Tillman has been serving the same Southern barbecue and fixings since 1968. A common roadside stop, Sonny's offers low prices and barbecue; roomy booths, wagon-wheel chandeliers and homey craft art are the standard dining room decor. House barbecue sauce, available sweet, regular or hot, spices up large helpings of smoked beef, pork, chicken, turkey and ribs. Sides like fresh fried okra, onion rings and barbecue beans complement the entrees.

The most GOD AWFUL Ribs I have ever tried eating. My wife and I tried to eat at your establishment on 1/10/08. The ribs for two were undercooked and even when we asked for a sharp knife, we could not cut the meat from the bone. We returned almost half the plate uneaten. Ribs should fall off the bone. These did not. We will never eat at a Sonny's again. You got the name half right. The PITTS. Maybe Sonny should try the ribs at TEXAS ROADHOUSE, where the meat just falls off the bone and you can enjoy your meal instead of fighting with it.

I DO NOT recommend anyone eating at Sonny's Real Pit BBQ.

Quality, quality, quality. Sonny's is not a high end restaurant, but boy do they have quality. Not only is there chicken, ribs and pork fantastic, but their salad bar is a great value and one of the best. For those who enjoy a hearty salad and are on atkins, you can enjoy the meats with a very good salad bar. All fixings are fresh and area is always neat and clean. Excellent casual dinning!

best bbq around. my family travels an hour just to go to sonny's. we've never been disappointed - the corn nuggets, great salad bar, large selection of all you can eat dinners - everything has always been wonderful and the service is always friendly and good. my parents were frequenters of the original sonny's in gainesville and we have continued that tradition here in miami. we just wish one would open up closer to the airport area!!
