Worst Management and horribly run restaurant. don't work at Jake's!!

I was fired as a server b/c I wouldn't go out with (i.e., sleep with) the GM Taimark ..he made some lame excuse about my how I wasn't performing well enough...haaa...he's an idiot manager who doesn't know a thing about the food at the restaurant....he fired me b/c i would give it up to him like other girls in the past have.

he is awful, he flirts with the entire staff, one of the hostesses quit b/c he was harassing her...and he has no clue how to run a restaurant....how the owners have kept him as long as they have is beyond me.

don't waste your time applying for a job unless you want to be treated like a piece of meat...Taimark will do that to every girl hired!!

SUPERB !. As a first-time patron of Jake's one night ago, I found it to be quite an exceptional dining and drinking establishment. Bartender Harry was ever so attentive and professional. I am happy to have watched the Yankees - Tigers game there ... Intend to go back for their Filet Mignon Special whenever the opportunity arises again. Cheers ! Five Stars !!

Awful customer service. I will never recommend or give my business to Jake's again! My colleagues and I went for the first time a couple of weeks ago for the first time. We were asked to leave our table because a reservation was waiting. Had the manager checked with the server he would have known we had just paid our $250 bill (plus tip) and were just finishing up our last drinks. He made an off color joke when he first approached the table making us think he was actually hitting on one of the ladies at the table then proceeded to tell us that we had passed our 2 hour limit at the table. Since when to restaurants put a time limit on parties actually spending money? It was offensive, especialy when we asked how he would react if it were him being asked to leave and he had no response.

Delicious fried oysters. Having searched far and wide for non-greasy fried oysters, I found them at Jake's. They are listed as an appetitizer so I had a double order plus a salad for my dinner. Absolutely delicious, light and fried just right. I was so enamored by my oysters that I'm not certain what my husband ordered. I do remember that he enjoyed his meal. Though we had our first experience at Jake's almost six months ago, I'm still thinking about it and will definitely return.

Great Wine List!. Great time.. great wine... I will be back for the tiger shrimp pizza and my boyfriend for that NY strip steak! Awesome!

I like jake's. Wednesday nite is half price any wine on the wine list. Pretty good wine list too.

The 16 ounce NY strip is an excellent value at $16.00.

My only gripe is different servers bring your food so there is no accountability.

Our entree came as we were just getting started on our pizzette appitizer, which I enjoyed. I would have enjoyed it more if my steak was not sitting on the table next to it.

Best Place in town. Geat food, great wine list, great service. Great price. If you want to eat before or after a movie. Valet park at Jake's, go eat and then to the movie. They charge you an extra $1 but it is well worth it.

The steak is unbelieveable and it is only $16!

Jake's is great.. I've been to Jake's a few times and it really has a very nice ambiance. The lighting is nice, the drinks are good and so is the food. I would recommend this place to someone who wants good food with a relaxing atmosphere.
