In Short – Walk into this store and all of your senses are simultaneously stimulated: the air is infused with their citrusy signature scent, Sea; clubby trance tunes transport you to another realm and the visual design of the shop looks a lot like a cocktail lounge. The designs are simple and edgy, prioritizing personal style over conventional fashion. Base also carries shoes, great bags by Eileen Powell and Moya and a housewares collection of artisan crafts.

Base has an awesome array of goods but the mark up price on most of items is threw the roof. I work for one the vendors they carry and I was shocked how the jacked up the price. Shop around for better prices elsewhere, but If you have cash to burn then BASE is for you.

Waiting for someone? Proving that quality is better than quantity, the listening station at the back of the store houses one of the best CD collections around. Artists regularly featured are Thievery Corporation, Buddha Bar and Cafe del Mar.
