Hot Blonde Serves a Mean Pint of Murphys. This is seriously the greatest bar in Miami. I live in the neighborhod, and frequent the Playwright on a weekly basis. They just hired this new blonde bartender who is the hottest thing I have ever seen! They usually have all mates behind the bar- so whoever hired her....smart move! Anyway, food is good and there are always great matches on the plasma T.V.'s. Highly recommended to people who live in the area who just want a "normal" place to hang out where a total babe will serve them a great pint of Murphys!

No Guiness!!. Drink it up.... and forget about everything else.........Buy backs are great in there....Super Staff.....can get expensive towards the end of the night though....this shouldve been a dive bar instead of a Rest/Bar...Lot's of babes in there that like to get liquored up..

OK this is all new.The bar is now too touristy... I found a better one across the street.Much nicer and better beer.Waxy's O conners is the better place for everything . Sorry PlayWright but you guys got way too expensive and I don't feel its worth it.

Great local joint. I enjoyed a few late nights at this great spot. The price was fair, the scenery was even better. The music brought the ladies inside, and the prompt service from the bartenders kept the party rockin. This place is just like your hometown favorite, helps to keep you from getting homesick too soon in your vacation. A really fun place to go anytime of the day or night.

Laid-back but not divey, this pub is a good spot to grab a pint and a bite.. In Short
Playwright's furnishings make for a casual, comfortable and classy pub. There's a small stage in the front for live music, a full wooden bar with stained-glass inserts in the backboard and cushy bar stools and tables at several heights for maximum comfort. There are also numerous televisions scattered around for the sports fans. Irish classics like shepherd's pie, corned beef and cabbage, Guinness beef stew, and fish-and-chips fill patrons with the expected meat-and-potatoes diet.

MrG. This is by far the best bar/pub in south Flordia. Where else can you get such a relaxed atmosphere,good looking girls and not get ripped off in Miami.They have great pub food also. This is a must for anyone lookin to have a good time.

A cosy spot for good food. Ignore the fact that this pub's locale is in the heart of South Beach, once you step through the doors you will leave the busy streets and beautiful people behind. The Playwright has a very cosy and welcoming atmosphere that envelops you. The food was top notch and prices average for engligh/irish pub fare. Try the Bangers and Mash for a real treat, the roast beef was also stellar and if you wanted to try something new order a Shandy - half harp/half sprite straight to you from the motherland

laidback kool. pretty cool,rather laidback hideaway in the middle of one of the craziest, hectic, non-stop, anything-goes places in America. good looking waitresess.

Good times are had by all!!!. The Playwright Irish Pub, great fun great food, great staff and hot looking guys hang out there. Whats not too like about that!
