Tips for Casa Tua Restaurant

Most overrated restaurant in Miami. So expensive, small portions, servers are constantly annoying you at the table and the food was so-so. Find a different place.

Dont EVER book an event here!!!!. Management is clueless and does not communicate amongst one another. It is super expensive, small portions and ridiculous wine prices. Attitudes are terrible and they dont care if they ruin a party/event of yours, no matter how important. Complete waste of time and effort. Many better choices in Miami than Casa Tua!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stupid expensive / hit or miss food. A hip spot taking itself a bit too seriously. Had a big party of twenty of us. The fixed menu was limited and of the two courses one was a disappointment. For the cost, should have been more variety, quality and coordination with wait staff.

Best Restaurant. I have traveled all over the world and by far Casa Tua is the best restaurant and hotel!! We walked in were greeted by this Italian man who made us feel as special as ever. Then, from the server to the sommelier… TOP NOTCH SERVICE!! After our amazing meal (the burrata, zuchinni flower, beef terderloin and veal) we were taken for a tour of the 5 suite hotel. Let’s just say that I traveled again the following month and booked my room reservation at Casa Tua…

All and All the best experience yet!!!

Eating in a Sweat Room. Saturday August 1, 2009; the main dining room is 85 degrees. The GM states that Casa Tua are trying to recreate the entire European Experience, instead of admitting that the Air Condition is simply too weak. The assistant manager later does not want to call us a taxi to go home, but asks us to walk to the corner and wait. Upon leaving, the doorhandle fell of the front door by the way...

So, if you like spending 200$++ per person for two courses and a bottle of wine while having your intelligence insulted by an lying GM, a non hospitable assistant manager, and all of that while eating in a sweat room at 85 degrees, then this should be your choice of restaurant in Miami. Remember, if your food tastes a little bit salty, it is either your sweat, the waiter's sweat or the cook's sweat...

Chic hotel restaurant offers the pleasures of home and none of the hassles.. In Short
How fitting: a luxurious, intimate Italian restaurant in the luxurious, intimate Casa Tua ("Your Home") hotel. The Mediterranean-style eatery seats 100 and feature a "friend's table" in the kitchen for dining up close and personal to executive chef Sergio Sigala. Fresh pasta and seafood are particularly prominent, and dishes reflect the Italian culinary esthetic of sophisticated simplicity.

SUCCESS HAS GONE TO THEIR HEADS! DINER BEWARE!. We had dinner on a Friday night, and not only had terrible service...waiters serving us wrong size portion and then taking away...spilling champagne on menus, asking us twice for both drink and dinner orders...but the sommelier was arrogant about our wine choices and kept pressuring us to order most expensive wines.

Food was acceptable but small portions...and bill for 4 was over $800-and they charged us for extra bottle of wine...

not worth it by any stretch. Very disappointing....too bad...beautiful setting!

Beautiful and Romantic!. I went to Casa Tua on my latest visit to South Beach and I will for sure go back! You must make reservations. The staff was a little rude but the food was awesome! I ordered the NY Steak and it was delicious! The wine list is a little overpriced. Not a place to go if you're on a budget, everything is served a la carte. Beautiful and romantic setting, especially on the patio!

Sit outside and take it all in!. I am a true New Yorker, so I did not expect much from this place, (no offense Miami). However, I was very pleasantly surprised. Reservations they could work on easing up a little. It was like pulling teeth to get this reservation. We were seated outside and told at 10:00 another reservation was coming and we would have to move when they got there. Who does that? I don't want a time limit on my dining experience when I am spending that much money. However, the food was amazing! From the appetizers to the decadent risotto my mouth was very happy. The lamb chops were a bit fatty, I had to send them back. But overall everyone at my table really enjoyed their meal. I will return next time I visit Miami!!!! Ask to sit outside it is really an intimate setting and really relaxing while you are enjoying this meal.

Save your money. Dined at Casa Tua on 3/10/06 for the first, and last, time. Reservations must be made well in advance, and the staff is not flexible. Nice ambiance, but could be much more romantic inside if they would only lower the lighting. Waiter kept interrupting my conversation with my date. I don't mind paying for a great meal, but the portions are small and the food is very, very average. So disappointing. Prices are STEEP (2 cocktails, 1 dessert, 2 salads, and 2 entrees = $200 before tip). Don't expect a traditional Italian menu...there was no pasta, risotto, etc. Just lots of meat and 2 fish options. There is no reason for all of the hype. Better alternatives exist all over Miami Beach, at much better values. One plus...excellent drinks. I will never go back.
