Editorial Review for Domino Park (Maximo Gomez Park) – by Maria Budet

In Short
Located on the corner of Calle Ocho and 15th Avenue, this gathering place, also known as Maximo Gomez Park, hosts older folks and neighborhoodies who partake in tense games of dominos, chess and checkers. Before the park's construction in 1976, men played dominos on milk crates, folding chairs and beat-up card tables. But today, spectators enjoy a piece of Cuban culture played out at shaded constructed tables well into the night.
