Never ate such a bad shrimp in my life!!!. We had a birthday party for our friend. March 31st. It was our first and last time. Will never go back!!!

Rice was old, tasted like it was heated. Lobster was like rubber, i didn't even finish it. Shrimp were hard, and tasteles. Our frends order some fish, theirs special. It was so dry, it was impossiblr to swalow.

I am telling you, if you've never been there, and just feel like going somewhere new, do NOT start from this place. 50 dollars for a dish that you won't even want to go- is way too much!!

Terrible food and Terrible service. I live in the Aventura area and was looking for a great seafood restaurant. On occasions, I would drive by the fish jyont and notice the crowded parking lot. I thought perhaps this restaurant would be the place to frequent for great seafood. Well, I was wrong. When I entered the establishment, I was sorely disappointed by the size of the place. It is entirely too small to have private conversations, because the patrons seated across from you will inevitably hear your conversation. The host was very brief and borderline rude. The waitress did not introduced herself, nor took the time to explain anything. When seated, we were given specialty water without the option of house water. We later discovered that this water was $7.00. The food took entirely too long. When the main course was served, I wanted to have a one and one with the chef. For one, the flavors did not merry at all. I ordered Sea Bass and my sides were sweet potato and a mixture of vegetables. Did I mentioned, the Sea Bass was covered in Pistachios nuts? The meal was awful. My date ordered Grouper. It was entirely overdone and tasteless. The most upsetting part of the meal was the check. We spent a $100.00 and it was a waste. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking to satisfy their taste buds with divine fish dishes.

Dinner from hell. We were seated in a corner by the window. It was very cold. The server told us that this was the warmest place in the joynt. She agreed that it was cold. We waited over an hour for our food-it was so long that the manager served us. I ordered the Ocean Symphony. For $29, I expected more than 5 clams, 5 mussels and 1 hard piece of shrimp. It was more like the Ocean ring tone. My son had linguini with clams. There was 10 tiny clams, the rest pasta in a bland white sauce. My husband had chicken that was so tough he couldn't cut it. My mother in law had fettuchini aflfredo-she thought the chicken was toast because it was so dry and crusty. The sauce was a weird pale yellow and oily. We sent the food back. No apology, no offer to fix it, no compensation. It was like throwing $100 away! NEVER NEVER would I recommend this place. I am from New England and love seafood. Red Lobster is better than this!

Great Local Place. I think this is a place only the locals (and our hotel's concierge) know about. We were a bit skeptical when we arrived due to its location and decor, but did not have any of those thoughts after eating. The service was top rate. The food was wonderful. And, the price was right. We will definitely come back.

The Fish Joint is the best little neighborhood bistro to come along in years.. The Scene
The decor is a bit generic, although the tobacco-colored walls, whimsical oil paintings and baskets of fresh fruits lend a cheery playfulness. But it is the personal attention that is so unusual. Owner David Bianco, a restaurant/entrepreneur who hosted royalty and dignitaries during his stint at Fisher Island, now caters to the common folk with down-to-earth fish and potatoes (and some meat, too).

The Food
Complimentary starters include a selection of roasted veggies, potato pancakes, fresh foccacccia, caponata, cucumber salad and hummus. You hardly need to order appetizers, but shouldn't miss the calamari or the escargot in mushroom caps. For those who appreciate super fresh fish, simple preparations, and lots of extras for outrageously reasonable prices this is the place. That is if you can overlook occasional lapses in service that border on annoying.
