B.E.D.

The acronym may stand for Beverage, Entertainment and Dining, but couples really are seated in plush beds with plenty of throw pillows at this high-end South Beach nightclub. Valet will set you back $25. Dinner will run in the ballpark of $30 to $50 before we consider bar tabs or bottle service. It adds up, but stick around after 11:30pm, when the nightclub vibe takes over.

Romantic dinners that feast on location are the main course at this intimate waterfront restaurant. It's tucked away deep inside Matheson Hammock, opening long after the popular state park closes to beachgoer day guests. It's an unlikely oasis and reasonably affordable. Full-course dinners begin at roughly $30 before cracking open the wine list.

Unlike most shopping centers, this tourist magnet fronts Biscayne Bay where yacht expeditions and gondola treks are just a dockside transaction away. Throw in dinner at the mall's ritzier eateries like The Knife or Los Ranchos and the night is set. If there's a concert or game at the adjacent American Airlines arena, that's gravy.
