A dollar isn't what it used to be, but there are buck magnets beyond the suburban dollar stores. From fish tacos to shots of hot sake, there are $1 deals to be had around Miami if you know where--and when--to look. Let's go over a few of the deals that won't break the bank.

MONDAY: Pabst Blue Ribbon will only set you back four quarters on Mondays at this South Beach dive bar. Skeeball, billiards, and air hockey will also set you back a buck, but the PBR brews are a "Mondays only" special.
TUESDAY: It's always cool when a throwback watering hole also rolls back prices. It's also the place to be if you're a day late for Lost Weekend's special as bottles of ice cold Pabst Blue Ribbon go for just a buck apiece at this friendly dive bar on Tuesdays. It's a little dark at first, but give your eyes a chance to dilate inside this iconic time capsule.
WEDNESDAY: Few things help cool sushi go down than hot sake. At this trendy chop shop, shots of hot sake are available for just a dollar between 3pm and 7pm. Procrastinators are welcome beyond Wednesdays, since this deal is good Monday through Saturday.
THURSDAY: Miracle Mile social seafood joint is a beacon for the thrifty on Thursdays. Soft tacos will set hungry diners back just $1 apiece from 3pm to 9pm. Those with a little more pocket change can wash it all down with $3.50 fruit mojitos.
THURSDAY: Thursday is "Raw Bar Night" at this classy South Miami watering hole, with its "gastropub" approach to premium pub fare. The shellfish stars here are the $1 oysters, though emptier pockets can opt for the 75-cent clams instead.
FRIDAY: South Beach alley cats have no beef with this hipster bowling venue. Half-pound burgers go for just a buck on Fridays, between 4pm and 9pm. Just make sure you wipe your hands of any burger grease when you're up. It would be a shame to see that ball slip out of your hands.
Don't settle for sports bars on terra firma. This downtown getaway is nine floors high at the Venetia condo tower. The billiards tables offer $1 games all the way through the 3am nightly close.
It's no fun to head out to the local multiplex and have to take out a home equity loan to buy a tub or popcorn and a pack of Raisinets. This indie theater, in the heart of Little Havana, plays mostly foreign films and spares you the costly concession prices with its $1 bottles of water.
