    DR. WILDE'S SCREAMATORIUM: Debuting this year at the zoo is a 7,000-square-foot haunted house. Scenes depict graveyards, menacing butcher shops and zombies. It's all topped with a classic rock soundtrack featuring deceased legends Jimi Hendix and Janis Joplin. Admission is $5 and the walk-through attraction will be open from Oct. 10 through Halloween.

    MONSTER SPLASH: The city's only marine life amusement park is kicking things up a notch in 2009, adding carnival rides and a "Buried Alive" haunted house for adults. The event runs on Oct. 24-25 and Oct. 30 from 5pm to 11pm, from 7pm until 11pm on Oct. 28-29, and from 5pm until midnight on Halloween itself.
